Translation Pricing With Proofreading and QA Built In
Clear translation price per word, with no hidden costs. Every quote covers translation, proofreading and quality assurance for the price of proofreading alone, subject to project scope. It works the same for a single document or a large-scale localization program.
How Much Does Translation Cost Per Word?
NexTranslate prices translation per word, based on the language pair, content type, volume and service level. Rates start from $0.03 per word, and human proofreading and QA are part of that rate, not an extra line. Your project manager confirms the final cost of translation services in a written quote before any work begins.
Human Proofreading Included by Default
Many translation providers quote the translation and then bill proofreading as a separate step. We do not. A human proofreader and a QA check are built into every service level.
You get one price that already covers the work needed to publish with confidence.
| What you pay for | Typical provider | NexTranslate |
|---|---|---|
| Translation | Charged per word | Charged per word |
| Human proofreading | Often an extra charge | Included at every level |
| Quality assurance check | Sometimes a separate service | Included at every level |
| NDA for your project | Varies | Free |
| Revisions | Varies | One revision round within 7 days of delivery |
| Total saving | None | Proofreading cost included |

Delivery times are targets for suitable projects and depend on volume, complexity and language pair. Larger projects get a tailored schedule confirmed in your quote. This page covers managed translation services only; platform subscriptions are priced separately.
What Decides Your Translation Rate
Two documents with the same word count can cost different amounts. These are the reasons, and every one of them is shown in your quote.
Get an exact quoteLanguage Pair
Widely spoken pairs cost less than rare ones, where fewer qualified linguists are available.
Content Type
Legal, medical, financial and technical content needs subject specialists and deeper review than a blog post.
Word Count and Volume
Large catalogues, software strings and recurring work can qualify for lower rates.
Complexity and Formatting
Dense terminology, layout rebuilds and files that need desktop publishing add work beyond the words.
Specialist Services
Certified translation, transcreation, MTPE and industry expertise each change the scope of the job.
Deadline
Standard delivery targets 24 to 48 hours for suitable projects. Faster turnaround may carry a priority fee.
Optional Add-On Services
Most projects need none of these. When they do, the cost appears in your quote before you approve it.
| Add-on | What it covers | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Urgent delivery | Same-day or faster-than-standard turnaround | Quoted per project |
| Certified translation | Certification in the format your receiving authority requires, confirmed per document and jurisdiction | Quoted per project |
| Glossary creation | A term list built for your brand and product, reused on every project | Quoted per project |
| Style guide development | Tone, formatting and spelling rules for each language | Quoted per project |
| Desktop publishing (DTP) | Rebuilding layouts in the translated file | Quoted per project |
| Confidentiality and NDA | A signed non-disclosure agreement for your project | Free |

What is your translation price per word?
Rates start from $0.03 per word and depend on the language pair, content type, volume and service level. We also offer project-based pricing and custom packages. Share your requirements and we will recommend the most cost-effective option for your content.
How does NexTranslate decide the price of translation and localization services?
Price is based on the language pair, content type, word count, complexity and formatting needs. Certified translation, transcreation, MTPE or industry-specific expertise also affect the rate. Your quote lists each factor so there are no hidden costs.
How can I get an exact price for my project?
Upload your files on the Get a quote page or share your project details on the Contact page. A project manager sends a transparent, all-inclusive quote 24 hours. Every quote is custom, so you pay only for what you need.
Is proofreading included in the price?
Yes. Human proofreading and a QA check are included at every service level, so you get translation, proofreading and QA for the price of proofreading alone, subject to project scope. Many providers charge for proofreading as a separate step.
Are certified translations priced differently?
Usually yes, because they need a specialist linguist and extra verification steps. Whether certification is required, and in what format, depends on the receiving authority, so we confirm it per document and jurisdiction. The certified price is shown separately in your quote.
Do you charge extra for urgent or same-day translation?
A priority fee may apply to rush projects. Our standard target is 24 to 48 hours for suitable projects, so many urgent requests fit within it. Tell us your deadline and we will confirm before you commit.
Can I get a discount for high-volume translation projects?
Yes, volume pricing is available for large projects such as e-commerce catalogues, SaaS UI strings and product description translation. Recurring clients can also qualify for lower rates.
Do you offer subscription or retainer pricing?
Yes. Brands with regular content can choose a monthly or annual plan covering translation, MTPE, LQA and multilingual content management at discounted rates. Platform subscriptions are priced separately from these managed services.
Is there an extra fee for CMS integrations or multilingual content management?
Basic integrations are included in the project scope. Advanced automation and enterprise-level multilingual content management may be priced as an upgraded plan. Integration support is confirmed per platform before we commit.
Do you charge for revisions or quality checks?
No, standard revisions and LQA checks are included. Each project includes one revision round requested within 7 days of delivery. Extra rounds are charged only for major rewrites or changes to the content scope.
What is included in the price of legal, medical or marketing translation?
Specialist work includes a linguist with subject experience, terminology checks, compliance-focused review and language quality assurance. Marketing transcreation also covers cultural adaptation of tone and message. All of it is part of the quoted rate.
Is there a minimum order?
If your project is small, request a quote anyway and we will tell you the price before you commit.
